Meet the TeamHere to support your race day!
Peter Lewis – Race Director
This is Peter’s second year as race director and organiser of our race. An active triathlete since 2001, he has raced at all distances and has racked up 18 Ironman finishes and a double iron finish. He loves nothing more than being able to give back to the sport via organising this race!
Peter Holt – Technical Director
Peter has been involved in running the Andover Triathlon for many years now and is the event technical lead. A BTF Level 2 coach and active Ironman racer, Peter brings a sense of calm to race day and will be seen tending to any race day queries and assisting our BTF officials in running a smooth event.
Rob Savill – Head of Transition
Rob is in charge of the transition area and takes great pride in running a smooth and efficient race day operation. With his team of experienced triathletes and club members, he is here to ensure that all your T1 & T2 questions are answered and that you speed through what has often been described as the 4th discipline!
Derek Vinten – Head of Registration
Derek and his team will be the smiling face that greets you at Race HQ when you register for our event. If you have any questions or concerns on race day, be sure to ask Derek and the gang and they will be only too happy to help. A relative newcomer to the sport, Derek is ideally placed to help any nervous first-timers with helpful and friendly advice and support.
Dan Mason – Race Briefing
Dan will be giving your race briefing before your swim start. As the club lead coach and one of the most experienced triathletes around, he is well placed to offer any last minute advice or answer any questions you might have before you take the plunge and get your race face on! A GB age-group triathlete and multiple Ironman finisher, Dan will be issuing a total of 25 race briefs throughout the day – testing his endurance to the limit!
We are always on the look out for ideas that will not only make for a better race, but also improve athlete safety. Our latest 'tweak' combines both of these elements and will be in place for our 2017 event. The change concerns the last mile of the adult run course....
